All,

I am new to this forum and wanted to know if any of you are aware of a CREE replacement bulb for a Surefire A2 (specifically one that includes the 3 A2 LEDs, but replaces the A2 incadescent bulb with a more powerful, longer running LED)? If not, are there any reports, news, etc. of one coming to market anytime soon?

Thanks for your input!

Oh my. I have asked the same question a while back and I am sure many A2 die hard will tell you the reason for A2 is because of incandescent. If you want a LED light, there are so many cheaper alternative.

First of all :welcome:

Now about this..

Sacralism - That's what I call it. :nana:

As Oz says above. The A2 main light is meant to be a incan. I've seen modifications changing the incan with a different incan but nothing changing it out for an LED.

dual output E2L Outdoorsman

Cree / 3 lm /60 lm / f04 beam diffuser , and way better runtime:huh:

But you lose the biggest draw to the A2, the combination of both flood and throw. Also you lose the awesome two-stage twisty.

The A2 electronically regulates the voltage/current for the incan-bulb. How should that work together with an led-assembly?

On further reflection, I have decided I don't need a suspicious mind at all to decide what this thread is.
