Has anyone tried or if they know if you can put a HO Cree in a Pelican Sabrelite?

Just think, a 100+ lumen flashlite rated to 500 ft underwater!! :naughty:

I've been toying with the idea of putting an Edison Edixeon into my 2020 Super Sabrelite. It's not rated waterproof, but it has 2 joints and 3 O-rings and the Rev-A models were rated waterproof (mine's a Rev-B). Looks like a straight swap.

Yeah, initial idea seems pheasable. Diameter is around 26mm.
I've got a cree HO 170 lumen on the way. I'll experiment to see if this will work, otherwise I'll use it for my original reason for buying one and put it in my 9P.

Sabrelite uses 3x C cells= 4.5v. Anyone know what the capacity of a typical C cell is? I'm also toying with the idea of using 2x18650 Li-Ion in special holder.(Do they make Li-Ion C Cells?)

You could use NiMH C cells seeing as they go up to 5.5Ah. I hope this is already an LED Sabrelite because otherwise you're probably looking at a big ole donut hole.

If it is already an LED Sabrelite, I'd have to recommend a SSC P4 or an Edison KLC8, as those are so similar in design and output pattern to the Luxeon that's in the light now.
