I recently purchased a D10 for my Dad for his birthday. He placed it on his bed stand and early that morning was awoken by his light being on. He flipped it off but was again awoken by a bright light.
I asked him a few questions and gathered that it had been behaving a little weird earlier. It was changing levels and turning itself on in his hand. He had set it on his bed stand with the head screwed down all the way.
I took the light home and played with it a bit. The first thing I noticed when I took it apart was that the copper contact ring thingy that the piston actuates wasn't flat. Apparently one corner was just barely touching the contact surface on the board. I carefully removed it from the head and flattened it out. I've had it on my bed stand for 2 nights now with no other mystery power ons.
I just thought I would post this as something to take a look at if you have the Ghost D10 problem. It seems to have fixed things for me.
