Dude on car HID lamp & balast

I´ve got a D1S lamp and the balast from a crashed Alfa-Romeo.
I put it in a 55W Lead Acid Batery flashlight after some modifications
The beam is horrible, ¿where is some information about reflectors for this lamp?

That is only true for headlights. D2S and D1S NOT D2R / D1R should be used for our purposes here at CPF for searchlights.

The lamp was the original from the car. The model is D1S 35W Dot H525
The ballast is the original, made in france but I not see the company who made it. I only want to now the form to make a flashlight with it.
The lamp is very brigth but in my actual flashligth the beam is poor. What is a normal reflector or proyector that could work with it?
I want to make a DIY searchligth.

Only Ballast I know of made in France is "AL" (Bosch division).
