Duracell Mobile Charger CEF23DX4N $20 on Walmart clearance

I am looking to pick up some 2d gen Eneloops. Not having any luck finding them locally, I guess I will have to wait until they come into stock at our local Costco (they seem to be rolling them out gradually across the country). I was looking for a decent charger for them and the Duracell Mobile Charger was mentioned favorably quite a few times.

I looked for Duraloops at Wal-Mart. They do not appear to carry any Duracell rechargeables, only Rayovac and Energizer brand. I did pick up a couple of the Duracell Mobile Charger CEF23DX4N on the clearance shelf in the Electrnics/Photo dept for $20. They had a dozen or so. It comes with the built in wall plug, car adapter, 2 AA precharged 2000mAh NiMH and 2 precharged 800 mAh AAA NiMH. The batteries do not have the white top, they have the black top and say 'Made in China.' What does that make them, then? Durajings? Durachins? Crap?

The black topped duracell LSD cells are nicknamed "Durabrids" after the first widely made chinese LSD cell Rayovac Hybrid. They are not quite as good as the "loops" but still plenty good and worth about $7 for the 4 of them. $20 isn't much of a clearance price for the duracell charger but considering that most of them have vanished on ebay and amazon if you want one you better get one now or you won't find them again. I doubt very many walmarts have any duracell chargers and nimh left I haven't seen any for months now unless they yanked all their stock without clearing them out and are finally going to do so. I hate Walmart clearances they discount stuff 10-15% and let it sit and rot for 9 months then whammo... gone in a week when you got tired of checking the shelves with cobwebs on them.
