I just bought both. I know that I can put the KL1 head from my E2L onto my E1e without problem.
I would also like to try the head from the E1e on the E2l. I'm assuming that would flash the lamp. What lamp would I need to use to put the head from the E1e onto the E2L Outdoorsman?

THANK YOU

If you are using primary CR123's in the E2L body, then you can use the Surefire MN02 and MN03 lamps in the E1e head attached to it.

You could also take a look at the Lumens Factory lamps. They are cheaper, and they have many different options depending on what batteries you are using, and if you want runtime or brightness. Check them all out under the E-Series line.

+2 for Lumens Factory bulbs !

I installed a EO-E2R (7.2V 150 Lumens out of the bulb) from Lumens Factory in my Surefire E2e, with 2 RCR123 3.7V protected lithium from AW (new cells).

This setup is excellent.
Runtime is 37+ minutes. Maybe real 90-100 lumens out of the E2e.

The beam is much brighter and much whiter than the stock MN03 (60 lumens) from Surefire on primaries 6V fresh cells.

Thanks for the great info!

I just went to the Lumens Factory web site. WOW! Looking forward to ordering a few different lamps for ALL of my Surefires. I am using primaries. If I'm understanding these lamps correctly then I would need to look at the
HO-E2A instead of the EO-ER2?

Are there any "fit" issues with the Lumens Factory lamps or are they an exact replacement? I know the site says "compatible" but I would just like to be sure.

Thanks again!

They are exact replacement for E1e and E2e.

Just remove the Surefire lamp assembly and insert the Lumens Factory module.

Machining and finish of the the Lumens Factory is much better than the Surefire stock MN03 too (aluminium instead of plastic).

I'm very happy with my purchase !
I'm waiting now for 2 another bulbs from Lumens Factory, for my Surefire M2.

For primaries, yes, you'd need a "6V" lamp which the HO-E2A is. The "7.2V" lamps are for using 2x Li-Ion 3.6V rechargeable cells.
