Could a damaged (slightly dented) bezel crenellation change the shape of the beamshot of the E2DL?

You have a damaged E2DL, or are you considering purchasing one? An extreme dent can effect the beam shape, to some degree. Best thing is to try it out, or get some good pics of the beam.

The beam shape of my E2DL is not a perfect circle. One of my crenellations has a very slight dent. But as I remember, I think the light always had this beam shape. Is your E2DL's beam perfectly round? Because when I turn mine on, and point it on a wall and turn the flashlight around in my hands slowly, that's when I notice the circle bends just a bit. Is the beam supposed to be perfectly round or is this normal?:sick2:
