My wife and I just left our favorite pool bar here in Japan (3:00 AM). It was pretty smokey and quite dark. Someone dropped 100yen on the floor (about a buck) and it rolled to god knows where. About 10 folks were looking for it (that what slightly drunk folks do). My wife pulled out my E2L Cree and turned it on. The bar pretty much stopped and had to look at it (about half Japanese and hald American).

The reaction was pretty cool. Most folks have never seen so much light come out of something so small.

Just thought I'd share....

Sweet story! I just dropped an AW 17670 cell in mine, and it fit! Nice light with rechargeable! Popped the clip off as well.

Just like deer on the road with eyes wide open in front of your car at night.

I really need to buy the cree head for my e2. It deserves to be a edc light...not a bathroom poweroutage light.

Great story:)

It was pretty cool. I have to say the beam looks wicked cutting through Cigarette/Cigar smoke in a dark bar.

I think I will take the L4 out there next and play with it.

Yep nice light, I find myself reaching for my E2L more and more.

Fast becoming my favorite EDC.

It has a wow factor AND a long (9 hour) runtime...my turn to say wow!
I can't for Surefire to crank up the current on that light and call it L4.

I thought this was a joke at first. A priest, a Rabbi and a E2L Cree walk in to a bar.....

. . . . can't wait till tuesday --

Oh, does your delivery service work on New Year's Day ? ? ?

Otherwise, you're gonna' hafta' wait until Wednesday.

I had been missing my old lux E2L (sold long ago), so finally broke down and bought an E2L Cree for a bargain price from a fellow CPFer. I love it. Unmistakeable quality feel and runs forever. Better beam than the lux, with some useable spill. Mine also will take a 17670, so I'm a happy camper. Plan on keeping this one a while. Great light and handsome little devil.
