Although I usually favor 18650 cells, I currently have a number of Q5 P60 modules that run significantly brighter with a 2X16340 configuration (i.e., 8.4V > 4.2V). This isn't a problem when I use those modules in Solarforce L2 or Surefire 6P hosts. My DereeLight CL1H, Huntlight FTX01, TrustFire T1 and Romisen RC-M4 hosts have tubes compatible with either battery configuration, but 2X16340 sometimes gives bothersome battery rattle. Today I discovered that 5/8" ibico plastic combs (Office Depot, Office Max, Staples) are just the right size for nice shims and easy to cut to length. I use five rings for one battery tube, and the rings make the shim easy to remove with a finger. One 11" comb will make three or four shims, so the box of 25 that I bought on clearance for $1.88 will make 75 to 100 shims at a cost of less than a nickel each.

They're neat, durable, and easy to remove if you want to use an 18650. I tried rolled card stock and plastic file folders, but they never conformed perfectly to the tube. These 5/8" ibico plastic binding combs are just the right size and they're already cylindrical.
