I think this belongs here because it will involve mechanical removal of new anodizing.

Can someone give me a quick primer into the process and locations? I have a bunch of newly anodized Surefire and Surefire compatible parts which need to be made electrically correct. I assume the tail end of the battery tube, but what other locations need to be done?

Also, I have a Foredom with a wide variety of burrs and abrasives. Would this be the best tool to use.

Thanks.

At least my 6P only needed removal on the top inside lip of the battery tube where the large spring does contact and on the bottom lip of the battery tube where the gold inner part of the switch does contact.

Most Surefire's have LOTC , so you only need to clean the parts that come in contact with the negative springs in the head and the negative contact on the switch. Threads should not need to be cleaned, unless you have a flashlight that is electrically conductive through the threads. Lemme get some pics up real quick...

This is where the P-60 negative spring sits..

This is where the negative contact on the tailcap hits...

This obviously works for 6P and similar size series, but my rough guess is that most electrical paths are somewhat the same on Surefires... Good luck bro.
