Received my 2 L1's and an L2. Could only order the silver w/giftbox for 32.99. This is a great value! That being said, one of the L1's has a green/yellow color, really noticeable. I wonder if I could return this one? George

Update: Wow, John at Lighthound wrote back,he's sending a replacement L1 and a mailing envelope for the defective one with the green tint. This is service that deserves mention. Kudos and applause for Lighthound!!!!

Received my replacement and all I can say is GREAT! The defective one is in it's mailing envelope and I am one very happy customer. George

It seems that I have seen several posts saying people are using Lithium batteries in these. The paper that came with it specifically said to only use alkaline or NiMH.

Does anyone know details about the circuit? Would the BS Lithiums be OK too?

I emailed Fenix asking about the Lithium AA's and this is the response I got from Christina Wang:

"The input voltage of Fenix L1P is 0.9-1.5V.
When a new Lithium AA (1.5 V) is in unworking situation, its voltage is a
little higher than 1.5V. But when it works, the voltage is almost 1.5V. Our
L1P's circuit is designed like this: When the input voltage is 1.5 V, the
output current is 350mA, So Lithium 1.5V battery can be used in Fenix L1P,
but 3.6V lithium battery can't be used in our L1P. Any more qietions please
let me know. Thank you."

Since the Battery Station AA's are a little hotter, I think I'll stick to the Energizer Lithiums for the Fenix. Good to know I can use the Lithiums for the extra runtime when needed.

Since the Battery Station AA's are a little hotter, I think I'll stick to the Energizer Lithiums for the Fenix. Good to know I can use the Lithiums for the extra runtime when needed.

I believe that the runtime charts posted at Lighthound were done with the Battery Station Lithiums.

Same here. Long runtime vs. my NiMH rechargeables and slightly better output curve, longer slower drain, vs. plummet with the NiMH. But the NiMH's are obviously less expensive.

I think those silver L1's with the gift box are sold out too. There's no "add to cart" button for them. LH probably just forgot to label them as out of stock. I'm sure they were snapped up fast, just like the other configurations.

Just received my Fenix L1 R bin today from the other side of the planet. Post packet looked like it had been through the wars and was repacked in Queensland after the original almost disintegrated, probably by postmen playing footy with it. Not to fear the contents was safe and sound.

What a sweet little light. It's so cute. Very happy with it, thanks to Lighthound also for the little keyring LED light. Surprisingly bright for it's size!
