Okay guys another newbie question. For general purpose use around the house, around the hunting or fishing camp, could you give the pros and cons of the above lights. This is the goto sight for such info.
Thanks very much in advance. I am going to order something tomorrow.
Thanks again!

T25 is bigger, has better throw and simplier UI.
LD20 is cheaper, both have similar runtimes.

I have no experience with the OLight but for a general purpose indoor/outdoor light you really can't go wrong with the Fenix.

The company is probably one of the most trusted chinese manufacturers on these boards and the L2D/LD20 hit the sweet spot as far as output and runtime goes IMO -- plenty powerful enough on turbo to light up the woods yet will run for dozens of hours on low if needed. The ONLY disadvantage with the Fenix lights is that the low is not really low enough for any night work that requires you to maintain night vision, but that's really the only gripe I have.

In addition, you can get a 1-cell body tube for the Fenix and play lego, giving you two lights in one.

My vote goes to Fenix LD20. Excellent construction, good runtime, multiple modes (includind Strobe mode), and outstanding customer service.

The L2D series is one of my loved lights. It has the perfect balance between spill and throw.

Can´t go wrong with that!

Once again thanks for the replies. Now my search may include the D20 as well. Too many choices out there but sounds like the LD20 is a good choice!
Thanks again
Greg

Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

Hey guys I was in the market for a 2AA and I've narrowed it down to either the Fenxi LD20 or the Olight T25. I was thinking of using them for pretty much everything from daily use, camping/hiking, walking the dog, and (hopefully not) emergencies.

Right now I think I'm leaning towards the Olight T25, but I haven't really heard any opinions on them on reliability, build, etc. Plus Olight is more expensive, though it has more features.

Any thoughts or opinions?

Olight is more expensive but has better throw and simplier UI. Both has similar runtimes are nicely build and reliable.

I have the L2d and the T25 and I find the T25 better for outdoor activities because of the great throw and the momentory clicky. I also find heat management better, the L2d on turbo gets quite warm but not so the T25.

I have both the L2D and the T25 Tactical and I prefer the Fenix UI.
I also like the simple design of the Fenix.

I am using my L2D daily for about an hour on turbo without any problems.

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

thanks for your input guys!

for those with the olight T25, do you have to turn the head to access a turbo mode like the fenix?

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

Exactly, to switch mode you need to slightly loosen and tighten the head. It's not clicky. It's a personal preference, I like it.

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

I guess you may have spotted this but the other thing I like is that the olight T25 remembers the last used mode unlike the L2D that starts in low (unless you have the head tightened in which case its in turbo mode).

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

Did you remember to check out the Eagletac 2AA? Got to play with one at a recent cpf event. Excellent quality light. Very bright. It only has 2 levels, which may or may not be what you want. O lights are great quality too....I have the t-20.

thanks for the suggestion! but i'm looking for something to have low output too for night walks and getting around the house at night

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

I know it's outside of your specs, but IMO I like EagleTac 2aa lite for its very simple UI.

Re: Debating Fenix LD20 versus Olight T25

So it's operated just like the Fenix?

No. Fenix is mixed clicky and twisty. Loosened head - click between low-med-high-SOS, tightened head - click between turbo and strobe.
Olight is twisty only.

in short:
for the Olight You need both hands to switch modes
have remember last setting

Fenix: change level by pushing button (one hand operation)
comes on in a calculable level (low or turbo)
... of course: for changing between normal and turbo mode, its also 2-handed

except for this, they can be considered identical
