Mine only works for a couple of minutes before giving the low battery warning:sigh:. It does work longer on the lower brightness settings.

It works perfectly on 2 R123s and does so safely:grin2:

chevrofreak did a Fenix P3D runtime test with a 17670. His P3D no doubt had a low vf led and ran fine with the 17670. Ran much better with two CR123's, and two RCR123's. The P3D can run with up to four CR123's.

Since 17670 has been brought up, my P3D Q2 ran for 48 min. in turbo before the low batt warning came on. Now my P3D Rebel ran for only 23 min. before the warning.

Greetings,
I'm about to order a set-up of RCR123A's 3.0v, 900mAh, Protected, and a charger for my P3D CE Rebel 100. Would there be any advantage or disadvantage to going with a 17670 set-up? I've been using RCR123A's Unprotected without problems.
Thanks

Spence, you will have to try out a 17650 or 17670 to see if your P3D will even run with one. Some people are reporting good runtime others very poor. If you make a switch from RCR123, unprotected, I would go with protected RCR123 3.6-4.2 volts. You know that this combo would work. RCR123 3.0 volts really do not have the capacity that the RCR123 3.6-4.2 have.
