Fenix TK 11 R2 Reverse polarity protection?

It would appear as though the new TK 11 R2 does not have reverse polarity protection. Having accidentally blown out my L2D Q5, I'm a little reluctant to get one of these due to this fact. I've heard of people using small O-rings or other items to protect against this problem with other lights. Has anyone done this with the TK 11?
