I still have (if I want to but the flashlight in Denmark) only two options: the Wolf-Eyes and the Fenix.

And of course the Fenix went sold out today and the waiting time is > 14 days :-(. I still think that the Wolf-Eyes is to expensive compared to the Fenix.

The Fenix can be bought at other shop in Europe, and they are usual cheaper than Denmark (some shops include shipping and batteries in the price).

I have not seen a single review of the Wolf-Eyes 6AX (Sniper) with 260 Lumens - only seen one review of the old WE 6AX version with 170 Lumens.
Does anyone know of a review of the WE 6AX 260 Lumens version ???

Wolf-Eyes must overdrive the led, the Q5 has a maximum output of 235 lumens.

Okay.

Could Wold-Eyes be getting the extra lumens out of the Cree Q5 LED with a special reflector ? Or is it only possible giving it more voltage ?

PS. HKJ --> I was unable to find the Fenix TK11 cheaper than 549 DKK (107 USD) at other europeans online web shops. Do you know of some dealers which sells the TK11 at the same price or lower (549 DKK) in EU ???

Lumen is the total amount of light, either out the led, or out the front. Wolf-eyes specification must be out of the led and that can not be changed with a reflector. The lumen "out of the front", is sensitive to the reflector and reflector/glass can have up to 30% loss.

It is not a problem that the led is driven outside specifications, as long as the cooling is sufficient. The 260 lumen specification is more a way to get the highest lumen number specification, than really give more light

Okay. I see.

Which flashlight would recommend me bying ? The Wolf-Eyes or the Fenix.

Fenix states that the TK11 can throw 200 meters. And throw/distance is the thing I am going after in a flashlight.

I can not comment on the Wolf-Eyes, I do not have any. I like the Fenix lights (TK11/TK10/T1), they are very good general purpose flashlights.
For throwers I would go for something with a bigger reflector, like the 4 first in this picture:

Just a little tip; I live in Sweden and I ordered a TK-10 from www.fenixtactical.com + 10 cr123a batteries for a total of 102USD including shipping.

Ordered it on a friday and got it the following tuesday. Very fast shipping imo (five days).

The Tk-11 cost 75.95USD, free shipping.

The problem in Denmark, for ordering outside Europe is the VAT and customs.

25%VAT
Sometimes 9% Import tax
150 kr (About 30$) custom processing fee.

For this reason it is sometimes better to use a more expensive shop inside EU.

Some of the shops I know are:

http://www.qualityflashlights.co.uk/
http://www.neolumen.eu/USpage0.htm

Thanks for the answer, HKJ :)

Now I have to think about what I want. I really like the size of the Fenix TK11 and the price. But I have found Tiablo A9 (the first one from left to right on the picture above) to 149 euro.

Actually we have 25% import tax in sweden if the value is over aprox 55euro (and might lower to). I sneaked past that by telling fenixtactical to write the total value outside the package to 20USD + is was a gift (if it is a gift and not to expensive/big package you might avoid the tax).

If you want to order like 20+ batteries from the US and a light I might act like a second hand to you (can't guarantee that I avoid the taxes, but it's pretty safe).

I would recommend something like the TK11 first, a thrower is a more dedicated light and not as usable for general purpose.

For the A9 your might also check http://www.dealextreme.com/, even with the customs they are cheaper, but they can be slow with delivery.
I like the A9, but the interface is a reverse switch with 3 steps. That makes it easy for changing light level, but not very good for a quick flash of light. My favorites are the Dereelight and the Spear.

These tricks can also work in Denmark, and sometime the custom might overlook a custom declaration. But it is illegal to avoid the customs :caution:
We do not talk about it here :sssh:

I would recommend the Fenix for sure. I've been disappointed by Wolf-Eyes in the past. It left a bad taste in my mouth for their lumens ratings.

I love my Fenix TK10... it's a tank that fires a beam like a cannon.

There are not that many models to select between.

The Spear is from RaidFire, that is another name for Nitecore. The light feels solid, but the low level on this light is very low.

Dereelight DBS V2, I have the 3SD 5A Q2 pill and a orange peel reflector, that is not the most powerfull thrower, but it gives a very nice beam. I also have a smooth reflector, but the beam has lots of rings (like all the other throwers). Dereelight has a very good quality, but I am not that happy about the UI (for 3SD pills), but as long as I uses the light on high, it is no problem.

And to be honest, I do not like the UI on any of my throwers, they are not difficult to use, but not really good either.

Now I think understand the brands and models.

Dereelight CL1H V4 and Fenix TK11 are the same size (from the picture on page 1) and uses the same LED (Cree Q5) and the price is aprox the same around £50-55.

RaidFire Spear, Dereelight DBS V2 and Tiablo A9 are bigger than the two mentioned above and are better throwers (bigger head = greater throwers (correct?)). The prices are also the same (aprox). But I cant seem to find the A9 in EU.

Your got it.

For a good throw your need a big smooth reflector, smaller reflector or OP reflector will reduce throw (But OP makes the beam much smoother).

I have added a photo from the front of the lights, to my original post.

When your a referencing old post, please use post number, the page number will depend on your settings for cpf.

Edit
i forgot to mention one of the advantages with Dereelight: The pill system, your can for about $30 get a new pill with another led or another user interface, that can save some upgrade money.:D

Yalskey, just for a little bit of quality control from our side, which model and output version were you disappointed in?

I too would be interested to know which you have been disappointed in, output isn't usually something that WE is criticised for.

Back on topic, here is some good comparisons for the P60 drop ins that the OP might like to look at to help his decision.
http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=186080

Another quick question to the OP, does the cost of the WE include the cell and charger?

If no one tells me otherwise I am look on the Dereelight DBS V2 Cree XR-E WC Q5 (SMO). I can find it in the UK for £75. The flashlight is a little bit bigger than what i wanted. Therefore I am also looking at the CL1H V4 because it is upgradeable. It costs £55 also in the UK.
