First mod - A few questions.

OK I would like to put this http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.2026 Inside my Nextorch MagicMax I'm guessing that the emitter I linked to will fit OK?

Will this make it brighter?

Is it just a case of unsoldering the 1W Luxeon and soldering in the SSC emitter?

You might want to contact them and make sure you're going to get a SSC and not a Cree. A few here have received the wrong one. http://candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=158813

The slug is +, so it will probably have to be isolated from the body. It looks like there is a lot of room there. I wonder if a star would work, or if the extra height would mess up your focus too much. The stars are usually neutral, which makes it much easier. If the star didn't work you could always just pop the emitter off and use it also.
