I don't know how many of you guys have kids in preschool, but if you do, you may be familiar with the show "Handy Manny" (on the Disney Channel, and available on iTunes). One of the newest characters is a cute, little flashlight named "Flicker". I've only seen one of the episodes with Flicker, so no word yet about whether or not he is an LED or incandescent!;)

Have any of you ever seen a flashlight character on a tv show before? May be on Sesame Street? I figure in the 60+ years of television broadcasting there probably has been one....:)

My kids were watching iCarly the other day and they dressed up Freddie in a flashlight costume. Does that count? Yes, they turned the flashlight on during the episode and it was that familiar incandescent glow.

Not sure if he has ever been on tv, although I would think he has: The Helper, invented by Gyro in "Gyro's first invention" (1952) :candle: ;)

Slightly OT, here, but I have a young nephew who is INSANE for ANYTHING Handy Manny, and is a budding flashaholic as well. It seems as if that character does not yet have a toy for purchase. Anybody want to take on the job of building one? Thoughts as to how one might go about it? He wants one really badly, and I want to 1) encourage his flahaholism and 2) be the hero to him again.

Just found a picture of him...it? I need a yellow body, blue head and tailcap, blue sliding switch 2D incan. Besides that, some plastic facial features that I could probably either scavenge from other toys or get at a hobby shop. Some crazy glue....might be pretty easy.
