Floodlight hack & mod

I always loved the old KL3 design... wish I could find another. Here's what I did... it's my all-around floodlight, very short range, no hotspot.

Hacked a Cree I had in the junkbox and used the original driver. There's no way I'm gonna try to get the driver out of the head, even though I'm pining for more lumens. I don't have the courage or the tools.

Used an old reflector from a Minimag, sprayed with Krylon matte finish.

Mated to an FB-2 body and E2C. Finally found them in BST after years. :cool:

"Tactical ring" is nothing more than a rubber grommet with a length of orange wire insulation krazy glued in for looks.

Made up the lanyard from Lighthound parts.

I figure it's not bad considering it was done up with junk box parts.

Any ideas on how to get more out of it without opening the rear of the head? Different emitter maybe?
