I just came across this article but this is how your barbolight would look like if it were submerged 13000 hrs at 36 meters or 110 ft the light is still functional

Here are the pictures showing what a -38m submersion during 13.000 hours on sea water can do on a HAIII anodizing and 6082 alloy.

The tailcap was really exposed to several microorganisms, which are indeed more destrutive than salt water. Is importnat to note that SS parts are near intact.

The thickness of the anodizing has been reduced to a 25% average (10 micra) . In some areas there is a 60%, in some other a 10%.

Head detail.

As you can see this kind of materail and finish won't be acceptable for a prolonged submersion application, but it is more than enough even for a diver diving 3 times a day, one hour dives, 300 days a year. (900 h/year), and even more if he takes care.

The corrosion because of the electric conduction through the body does not exist when the tailcap is electrically neutral.

The polycarbonate 5 mm thick lens is scratched and dirty, but it managed to keep water out of the head during 17 months...

Thanks for the suggestion, but we want to keep it that way. There are not out there too much manufacturers who can claim this. This is the living proof!!

I'm glad to see that you are very active in this days in the forum, very good contributions.

Fantastic pictures Javier, is the best proof of your products, the legend is alive.

It will be the legendary flashlight in your factory, you must put it in a showcase!

Why the first head slot is intact?

Regards
