I have two shiny new 4D Mag's here waiting for mods. I am in the UK.

Try as I might I have not found anywhere that I can buy all that I need i.e. heatsink, emitter, wire, reflector, driver, lens, adhesive and thermal compound.

My problem is if I buy from several different overseas sites I am going to get hammered with carraige, customs and import charges on multiple deliveries.

Is there really nowhere that I can buy all that is necessary from the one place? I've looked and looked but all I find are places that do heatsinks and emitters but no drivers etc etc. or sites that appear to have all there but no clue as to which part works with which.

Argh! :shakehead

Can anyone help?

Hi, modding lights is sort of like modding cars, it is not easy to get everything in one place, or get EXACTLY what you want. That is why it is common for people to buy one pre - modified and work with it from there.

If you are willing to accept a wide stock range, but perhaps not the "perfect" part, then wayne at the sandwich shoppe come very close to what you are after. They have been around a long time with good service.

Enjoy your build projects.

If your not planing on modding several lights it might be
cheaper to send it off to a modder.

Your other option would be to order from a certain HK based
supplier who will have most of the parts you require
but using them will have their own set of problems

BTW the longest I have had to wait to get all the parts to mod
a light is 5 weeks ..... good things come to those who wait :D

BTW2 .... if you need some teflon sleeved wire let me know and I will
send you some .... I have loads of it

I knew I missed something... making my really iffy P7 modded CrapLite... Is there a reason I need Teflon coated wire, and not just the usual plastic coated stuff? If so then please PM me as I'd like to buy a bit off of you. :)

Thanks for the help all, and thanks TX for the wire offer
I guess the situation is very much has I had discovered then, so time to stop grumbling and start ordering bits!

And don't forget to come back here and let us know how it went?

Good luck with the build.
