The dimming feature on the Gladius, does it work as would a dimmer switch on a houselamp, with near-infinite settings, or does it have distinct graduations (75 pct, 66, 50, 33, 25, etc)? Was curious about this feature...
It seems to be a steady progression although it looks like it is flickering a bit while dimming or brightening. The flicker stops the instant you release the cap. I'm not sure it actually flickers though I think it's an illusion created as the light steps down or up.
It is pretty gradual to me. It is advertised with the 100:1 dimming ability, which it really does have.
I do notice that the lowest couple settings seem to step a little more. Which seems resonable as the small current changes in an LED seem to make bigger changes in output when running at low levels.
Its always dangerous to guess, and then put it in writing to complicate later deniability, but I bet its a series of finite steps designed to mimic an infinite range.
