Good 1A boost driver (2 x NiMH)

Going to use 2 D sized NiMH and curious what a good boost driver around 1000mA could use the 2.4 volts and drive a SSC P4.

Obviously looking for one that can suck the most juice out of the batteries and stay in regulation.

I just finished a mod exactly as you want using DX 3W 19-Mode Universal Regulated Circuit Board. Not exactly 1000ma but 900ma.

should have mentioned that first, not a huge fan of multi level etc.

How does it work though? Good runtime witht he low voltage batts?

There's also the GD1000 but it does cost quite a bit more then the sku.7882. For the 7882, just tune the pot for more output.

Is the Vout on the GD1000 adjustable?

That I have no idea, you can probably post a question here or send dat2zap a PM.

My guess is that it auto adjusts the voltage to the load's needed voltage.

Iout can be changed by changing the sense resistors.

I saw that but 1000mA is fine. How is the Vout determined? Is it stable or if not what varies it?

I don't need adjustable just want to know which LEDs it will work with.
