Hate stubby lights. Make the barrel twice as long, with a double battery holder. So you just reverse the holder to change batteries.

Your concern is valid but having a compact and powerful flashlight is a dream for most people.

Hate stubby lights. Make the barrel twice as long, with a double battery holder. So you just reverse the holder to change batteries.

This light is the first answer to the dream of having a mid-size multiple 90.2 emitter light. That is why I am going to order it. I am excited to see both the beam performance and the beam profile that this size light puts forth. I am going to take a wild guess at 900 1,000 meters throw, but I could be way off in either direction.

I am visualizing a beam performance and beam profile that is kind of sort of like the X65, with some more beam width and a little less throw than the X65. Head diameter info and weight info are eagerly awaited.

My throw guess two days ago was around 1,000. Current throw guess looks like somewhere around 1,150 +/- 150.

It was reported that head diameter is 100mm.

I am curious about any efficiency advantage between this light with 3 x SBT90.2, versus other with 5 x XHP35 emitters.

It looks like this light throws 70% more or twice as much as my humble guesstimate. If this is correct, this light, after four years, significantly surpasses the X65 in both lumens and throw, by using a slightly smaller head diameter and 3 x 90.2, instead of 5 x 35.
HK90 throw and lumen specs in its head diameter class make it a must have!
