I found a completely destroyed ML25IT at a flea market and decided to invest a dollar to see if it can be restored. The bulb pin assembly is completely destroyed, and it appears that the plastic seating collar can't be removed. (My guess is that some youthful tinkerer started messing around with the light and ended up destroying it.) The body is intact, without any dings or scratches.

If anyone knows how to remove the original plastic bulb seating collar please let me know. Also, and assuming the plastic seating collar can be removed, the light will need an entirely new seat and light engine. Recommendations wii be appreciated. Keep in mind that this is the smaller incan version.

Thanks.

It works on the incan version too.

Thanks guys. I'll investigate the suggested technique and apply it to my flea market treasure over the weekend. I'll post a follow up note on my adventure with the results, although at this point I'm not feeling overly optimistic about my chance of a successful rehabilitation.

Now, does any have a recommendation for a suitable drop-in?
