Good for a laugh between us dorks. ;-)

Was browsing my local HF today looking for small containers to organize small parts around my workbench and noticed their selection of rechargeables. Hmmm, maybe not good for a "hotrod" flashlight, but probably good for my transistor radio, wireless mouse, etc.

Get this, the AA, C and D NiCds all had the same capacity... 1500 mAh (as listed on the package). AAAs had 350 mAh.

The supposed NiMH cells in AA, C and D sizes also had a listed capacity of 1500 mAh!! I was like WTH, that's the dumbest thing I've ever seen!

Those C and D cells are nothing more than an AA with some inert material around it to bring it up to size.
You'd get the same result with an AA and one of those plastic converters for C or D size.

Those Harbor Freight NiCds are pure junk. Brand new and after a forming charge they always read HIGH on my MH-C9000 so I have to use a timed charger on them. Low-capacity cells are supposed to have less internal resistance...

Definitely not worth $0.50 each.
