Hi All,

I would like to ask if LL P14 as been updated from 172 lux to 200 lux in 2009.

If yes, what has been updated ?

Thanks to all !

I think you mean lumens not lux.. My guess would be that they upgraded the emitters to R2 (from Q4).

Thanks for your reply !

sorry, you are correct, I meant lumens.

can you please tell me what was the cree used before (172 lumens) and the one used now (200 lumens) please ?

Do you think that I can do the upgrade by replacing the LED since the P14 is a direct drive.

Regards.

Doesn't Led Lenser still use a Cree P4? The LL P7, for example, seems to be rather dark in comparison to a Fenix T1...
And LL is not likely to have the newest things like the R2s.

their 2009 catalog lists the p14 model#8414@212 lumens. their new p14r model # 8714@480 lumens (as in rechargeable).

Just went to the LED lenser site. Very confusing. It shows a graph with 212 lumens but in the text only claims 178.

I couldn't find anything about the P14r

i got the catalog from one of their national sales directors at a recent tool show. i have only found some of their new stuff listed at the sportsmans guide with prices, but not much other info. he said look for the new stuff "june-ish".

I contacted a UK dealer and was told that they will be available soon.

The 2009 Model of the P14 (P14R) will be 480 lumens with a magnetic tailcap (for charging) ... it's listed in the 2009 catalog

some of the 2009 flashlights are using electronics for regulation, strobe etc. and 18650's

hiya, could anyone link me the LL 2009 catalogue - I'm struggling to find it
thank you!

According to ledlenser the 100 hour is for the low mode and of course not for the 480 lumens

The P14R is 8.5 inch long and with a head diameter of 1.8 inch
