Definitely an xp-e. Was this ever modded? I've never seen a stock HDS with a mcpcb like that. Milkyspit bored a clearance hole for a 10mm dia 2mm thick mcpcb board when he xp-e swapped my old 140n.

Hi everyone.
I just received a custom tactical and it is fantastic. I ordered the SDR50 led. It's the perfect tint and 300 real lumens is plenty. What a difference from my 14 year old RA Twisty. The Twisty is still my work horse but this Rotary interface is magic.

Dan is making me a holster as well. Thanks Henry for making these awesome lights!

I just received a Custom Rotary last week, and its serial no. is in the 39000 range, so I'm guessing non-sequential.

Not sequential. The only reason there is even a serial number is to keep track of any lights that come back for repair so we don't mix them up. That really is the only reason.

The sapphire lenses used the last year or so have the same light transmission properties as the UCL glass. No difference. This is the sapphire that has the tan/gold anti-reflective coating on it.

I replaced a glass lens with a sapphire lens today
I confirm that the output after the swap stayed the same.

The sapphire does have the Tan AR (left):

fwiw, the Sapphire lens weighs 4.2 gm, the glass lens weights 2.5 gm. (HDS glass lens not in the picture)

Nope it is a (very good) 3rd party part.

Our replacement bezels are CNC machined in-house and are a direct fit for all models with ACME threads. They feature 6 separate slots, evenly spaced around the circumference that will each fit a 1.5x6mm tritium vial. [Tritium NOT included... sorry.] The bezel comes with the outer lens cushion...

No, this shop did a titanium Version if I remember correctly and the Stainless Steel Version.
But you are right a black Version would be cool!
