HID host

I have two HID lights with the ballast and I want to make a good compact light. Something smaller than the Amondotech Illuminator. I will probably power it from a 12v source (car battery). I just cant come up with a housing and reflector to put it in. Flood or throw will work, as its going to be an experiment to see what I like better. Any ideas on a host?

Hmmm. . .I don't know much, but how about those Brinkmann handheld spotlights or lanterns? Or maybe from a cannibalized GoLight! Would be curious to know what you come up with.

I had such a mod using DC car battery plug and it performed not bad for that price.
