Re: High Powered "D" Maglite Drop in *Updated with Prototype*

Will this be built before August? I'm going on an extended camping trip and would love to have it by then.

I might be up for two as well. Might have to go through and update the list.

I'd like one, for a 3D MugLite. How do I order/please provide details/when would it come?

Hey Mac,

It's been a few months since we chatted originally. Do you have a current list of purchasers? I think some of us just want to make sure we're on the list when ready?

Regards,

Whatever happened to the beam shots?

I was just waiting for some "D" Nimh cells to arrive. I will have beam shots posted this week.

You can put me down for a second one now that Neutral is an option.

Thanks Mac.

Re: High Powered "D" Maglite Drop in *Feeler*

Sorry I updates the first post 150ma-1000ma-2800ma.

Mac

I'll take one 3D neutral, pending a little confirmation.

  • I saw the above early in the thread, so are these On/Off or do they have settings?
  • Still 600-700 Lumen OTF?
  • Still a 100% no other mod required drop in?
  • Will these have a doughnut hole in the beam pattern?
  • Will we still be able to use a lens and screw the bezel down tight? The one pic doesn't appear to have a lens.
  • Beam shots would be nice? I trust your quaility, just like to see it!
PS: sed6's suggestion on the engraving "Gov't Use Only" or "Front Toward Enemy" would be nice!

It's 6-7 OTF using NiMH cells. Alkalines are not good for over 1.5 amps. I would say around 400 with Alkalines.

Hi, I'm new to CPF, but I'd be interested in purchasing a drop-in for a M%G 3D
with a neutral-white LED.

If you read Mac's first post he states that this dropin is rated for 6V max. For use with a Mag 3D, 4D, or one Li-Ion cell. A 6D would provide to much voltage.
