I vote less than $200.
Between $200-$300 you get into the exclusive lights, over 300 you go to the custom world. I'd just pay a little more and get a Ti light if i had to step into the $300 realm. I have not followed the development of the light and can't comment on the features. However it resembles to another light i have having seen the picture.

Let's just say from what I've read, my perception is that it will be hard to fit into my budget.
If its over 300 he will sell the first 100 to CFP folks but that will be it. And that will only be because of curiosity. It will not move at that price to the general public. There is not enough light there to justify the 300 dollar price. Now if it was Ti, then it would be a bargain 
I think the upcoming HDS clicky that Henry is building will be just as good if not better at about 200 bucks or less. He knocked the cover off the ball with the Twisty. And I think HDS would be a better hedge as far as company longetivity goes after all that was disclosed about the ARC situation. He better get that ArcLs out before Henry announces the HDS Clicky.

The 'better hedge' you're referring to....would that be the same one that couldn't produce/market/sell his original headlight? The one that was contracted by ARC to develop Peter's concept for a hand held light who then left ARC and 'took' Peter's concept for a hand held light and marketed to the audience that Peter introduced him to? And then left his own company to go with another company? And then had a falling out with that company and came back to his company? I hope the good folks at CIS/MTD read your post so that they can adjust their business plan accordingly. Wouldn't it be great if every business could take advantage such definitive and intuitive forecasts?

I really don't think you want to go down that road trying to show up another company given ARC's past and current situation (problems).

Meanwhile, I don't want to guess the price - seems like a bad omen to me. I sold my most expensive light and kept the funds aside for this light, but it still could be priced outside of what I can justify.

It'll cost what it'll cost, and people will either buy it or not based on the light's perceived merits (or lack thereof). OK, some may complain about the price as well, but that's besides my the point.
I personally fail to see the point to fuel speculation. Unless it helps keep the flype... I mean... flame alive.
