How to remove clip from C2? -- Removed, thanks for help!

I cannot seem to find it. Could you explain how to do it, or give me a link if it has already been discussed. Do I just unscrew the bezel and push the clip forward? How hard do I push it?

1 - Unscrew the bezel.

2 - Use plastic tip of shoelace to push up on the exposed portion of the clip that can be seen just below the slot the clip fits into.

Don't forget to take that o-ring off before yo remoe the clip.

There is a small plastic piece that goes in underneath the metal clip. I used a small screw driver to push it out.

Yup!

I did in fact forget the step involving removing the o-ring.

Surprisingly, it's tougher to get the clip off of an A2. But that's only going by what I've heard.

Thank you for the replies! I was wondering what was that little black piece underneath the clip. I have been away from the computer over the weekend; I will try it tonight. I have not decided yet what I am going to do with the clip. I have C2 and C3 and I intend to remove the clip on both of them.

If you never plan on using them, put the clips up for sale on B/S/T.

Call up Surefire, ask how much they charge for replacement clips, then sell your's at a bit of a lower price.

Same method I use. I think it is safer to do than risk losing the plastic piece with the always mentioned paracord method.

Yeah, I called Surefire and asked for a long clip...the nice lady asked if my original clip had broke off...and I said, "No, I just want a long clip instead of the short one." She gladly took sent me out a new one right away. I love SF's customer service! :thumbsup:

But now, I want the reverse clip that's on the E1B...Don't know if they're willing to part with any of those yet. hehe.

I called just this morning and the guy said $5 and some change for a long clip. Should I call back and hope I get another rep or something?

Thats why I asked if the C series clips would fit my E2E, maybe I could buy one from const451.
