I call it the Cyclux (cyclops + lux III)
I learned that pennies make pretty good heatsinks and that if you glue it all together with thermal adheisive you need to find a better ground than the "slug" Clear Nail polish insulates electrically pretty good if you wait till it's dry. It also fills in holes and scratches on the surface of scratched up old LuxIII's. Dremmel cutoff wheels can fly 50 feet so wear eye protection at all times while operating anthing that moves faster than you can blink. Don't breath solder fumes. I'm sure I learned more. I'm just starting this mod thing. Those resistors are 4 ohms in parallel for about 2 ohms. I took them from a remote control on a broken RC car.

The mess you made is under the skin.
The final product looks good.

Next to the LED is a pair of resistors on one side.
Is that a POT on the other side?

no, that's a screw to help ground the slug that got electically isolated when I used thermal adheisive on the stack of pennies underneath. It doesn't get in the way of anything and serves it's purpose well.
