This is still one of my favorite Surefire lights. The low is perfect. Just the right amount of light. 15 lumens is the sweet spot for me. I'm not one of those ultra low fans. The hibeam still brings a smile to my face. And what can you say about the "wall of light?" The switching is classic. The runtimes are still pretty respectable. Who needs color rendition when everything in front of you is lit up? I've got one of the 4 flats bodies and it is nicely balanced in the hand. I use it with a minimag white traffic cone as a tent light or table candle (I have an oregonshooter tail guard for tailstanding).

I like the new TIR lights (I have 2) but face it, they are all the same. Sure the form factors are different and the output varies, but it is the same beam IMHO.

This is one light that I will keep and always use.

I am with you. Those with Lux V SF's should keep them forever. Love my U2, and L4, which disappeared recently, also my KL5, which is still around. Oh, I like some of the Optic beam SF's, and my E2L is very useful, putting out a strong beam at low current to the LED.
