I was inspired by some users who were able to run their Solarforce L2 in 2xaa! I'm an AA fan now and have tucked away ALL my 18650 based lights. Anyway running a 2aa L2 however isnt me... it's too darn long :D so I went with...

7880 1aa driver from DX
Q5
P60 diy module

I bought a Solarforce L2BF but while that's on route I took out my dusty barely used L2G and started... 7880 and q5 is quick and easy. The hard part was finding some sort of case/adaptor that would fit in the L2 18650 barrel. Looked around the place and my eye got caught in the bright pink
highlighter! Yep took a hack saw and started to cut that poor thing to bits and found the right length and diameter that would fit in the tube. I also needed something that would conduct from the aa cell so I took a nut and bolt that luckily is the perfect length from my spare RC kit and some brass bearrings.
The brass bearrings had the right width that they fit very snugly in the hightligher tube that will host the aa. So in the end I now have a P60 1aa based light! Yay!

Hope the pics work.

I used a Peneloop! hehe

The peneloop is a little loose in the tube but not too bad.
