It got into the 90s where I live in San Diego county. My house has been hot all day as I only have one window air conditioner to cool the house. Oh well. I've dealt with worse. When I was in high school, I went on a church trip to the Oasis Water Park in Palm Springs during record heat. It was 123 degrees F that day and it got down to 93 F at night. After getting soaked on a water slide, I felt freezing for about 5 seconds from the water evaporating instantly. Then I was bone dry and roasting again with my feet burning from the hot ground. It was like stepping out of a walk in freezer and getting into an oven. I had a battery powered fan and a mister that day. The mister worked great during the day, but not at night when the humidity skyrocketed. The battery powered fan worked for awhile until the heat fried the alkaline batteries. No matter how hot it is, remember that it could be worse.
If you want to stay cool, take a cold bath or shower. You can also eat ice cream or anything else that's cold. Putting an ice pack or a cold soda (in the can) on the back of your neck works too. The fastest way to get cool is to cool the skin or to eat or drink something that will cool you from the inside out. Trying to simply cool the air around you takes too long if you're really hot.
