I've been playing with the datalogging lux meter i've just got, so I thought it would be fun to plot brightness/runtime graphs of the lights I own. I started with incandescents.... I don't own too many of those, just two - a G&P Scorpion R500 (a poor man's M6), and Surefire 6PD with a few different light assemblies.
So, the contestents were:
-G&P Scorpion R500 (hot off charger)
-Surefire 6PD with 3 different light assemblies:
1. Surefire P60 (running on CR123A primaries)
2. G&P G90 (running on 2 AW 17500 cells, with an extender)
3. Lumen Factory HO-9 (same as above)
Here's the result:
Disclaimer: the test is far from being scientific. The units of brightness are basically lux readings from ceiling bounce test in my Integrating Bathroom. I'm not even going to try to convert these numbers to lumens. However, I tried to make the test as consistent as possible: light meter was positioned in the same spot, and the lights were pointed to the same point in the ceiling. The numbers have good repeatability and I believe this is a pretty fair brightness comparison. I'm not going to draw any conclusions from this data, and neither should you
Just wanted to share.
