Increasing Output on Weaponlight X300/X300 Ultra etc

I know with larger body lights greater illumination is doable, but is anyone modifying or increasing the output on a pistol WML? I'd really like to get north of 1k Lumens. Still trying to use the search feature in case I missed it but seem to be having some issues with it. Sorry if I'm revisiting well trod ground.

I know Vinh did a SF railed pistol light upgrade but don't remember the exact details or which model it was. You might gander on his pages in the modders section and it should be there.

I believe it was a X300 (not ultra) and was a triple. I think he said he wouldn't do it again b/c of how well Surefire loctites the body/parts together.
