Interesting SLA Battery

A very quick google search showed that to be a HPR71 Halogen 10 watt 6v (200 lumen) bulb.

:huh2: But you don't need to change the bulb to get a rechargeable Dolphin... or do you? A quick check of my Dolphin confirms it's 4.8V bulb, which I suppose would be somewhat overdriven by a 6V SLA. Enough to blow it?

A 10W bulb in there would be quite nice.

(You still need a charger though. What's the point of a single use SLA?)

The Dolphin Rechargeable has a 6V SLA battery and a HPR71 halogen bulb.

Whilst you can use an overdriven KPR113 or whatever if you wish, the HPR71 will give more than triple the lumens.

For a price, I'll bet!

I wouldn't expect much change out of NZ$100 for the full kit...

can someone please tell me why the HPR71 halogen is brighter than the Xenon, I know it's a higher voltage.. so thats why?

if so, why don't they make a 6v xenon since at equal power input, xenon is brighter than halogen"?
