Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself. I've been lurking for a while, this is my first post. I've learned quite a bit since I've been around here, though I'm definitely still very much a noob. I just ordered a NiteCore D10 to go with my Surefire 6PL.

Thanks for looking, and I hope to be more involved and learn more while I'm here!

Your screwed. Your going to have more lights than places to put them before 2010.

I have no problem with owning lots of lights. I'm a police officer, and I've found that pens and flashlights are the most used items I carry with me.

Some guys are satisfied with a BIC pen and whatever light they're issued, and look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them how much my SF cost. I however feel like whatever will work the best and potentially save my life is worth spending on, beyond just my primary duty weapon.

My D10 arrives friday, I can't wait! And my 6p is still stock (with the clicky tailcap), it's my belt light for beater duty, the D10 will be EDC and 2nd back-up at work.

Thanks for the warm welcome! Other lights I'm interested in right now and may procure are the Nitecore EX10 (had the hardest time choosing between the two, decided to try the D for the AA batteries, and I ordered eneloops to go with it), a novatac or RA light, dereelight, and tiablo. I'd like a larger light for duty use as well.

I'm issued a Streamlight Stinger LED, but I have low confidence in it, since the switch has gone out twice. Good warranty on it, but I just don't trust that light much. Although I am pretty impressed with the performance (that was basically my first fancy flashlight, though I'm sure it's considered nothing much here).

Well this was a longer post than I intended, but again, thanks for the welcome and I am anxiously awaiting the D10!

Just wanted to update that I ordered the 4sevens pocket clip for the D10, can't wait to get that either! I used the discount code I found here on CPF, and only paid $4.50 for the clip, so I'm happy about that! Tomorrow can't get here soon enough!

chaos_23, I know that you will be crazy about your D10. Now you need a LiteFlux LF3XT to carry in your pocket. Both are very good lights. I'll bet you get the LF3XT.

Hugh

I like that liteflux from just looking at it quickly (I'm about to leave the house for court). How does it compare to the NC EX10 or other 1x123 lights? Basically, why is the LF3XT the light for me? :D

The beauty of the LF3XT is its versatility. Simple setup like the EX10, except it will remember your ramped setting, or complex setup like Novatac or Ra, you have your choice. Also there's variable strobe settings and a battery voltage report. If you only want it to come on at its brightest or have five different preset levels you can do that, too. Eventually there is supposed to be a 2AA battery tube option. About the only thing lacking right now is a pocket clip.

For a gadget nut it's a "10". And, the price is right, too (about$60).

Welcome!:)

As you can see the flashlight furry has just started, you are already looking at a flashlight before the one you last orderd arrived, those are sighns of addiction, I had to face them myself too. Good luck!:poke:

:D

@ Search:

you're completely right. I'm screwed too. In only ONE month, I bought several Maglites, two Wolf-eyes', two Fenixes and a Surefire. And lots of batteries, a charger, Li-ion rechargeables....

And, of course, the el-cheapo WF-501B that started it all for me....
