That is what is known as the Power On Board HID. It is simillar to the AmondoTech Illuminator except the AI uses a 4200K bulb rather than a 6000K bulb like the Power On Board HID.

I think they are both great lights but I if I were to get one I would get the AI as I love the 4200K beam.
