Been keeping my eye on these :naughty:, but haven't yet given in. Has anyone received one yet? Any comparisons (quality wise) to the Quark mini. I know these two lights have different emitters, so I am mainly interested in differences regarding build quality, run-times, overall satisfaction with purchase etc.

I bought several of these for gifts and kept one for myself. I think the build quality is fantastic for a $25.00 light. Beam is nice with a fair amount of spill. Sorry, can't make a comparison to the 4sevens mini, I don't have one.

Best, Mike

Hey CREEper, thanks for the input. I just ordered one. So as you can see, my resistance is futile.

I own a ITP E0S. It is a decent little light for the money. The quality does not compare to any Quark light, just as the Quark will be much thicker than the ITP.

The threads on the head are not held to very tight tolerances. The head thickness is pretty darn thin as well. It has great output for its size and good battery life.

the quark is a totally different light. All the quarks I have handled have had good close tolerances in the threads. They are well built and tough as nails. Its like comparing a honda civic to a BMW 800 series.

I agree, for the price it is a decent small 123 light. Waiting for 4sevens to ship my MiNi 123 so I can't compare to that.

I thought the beam was a bit too throwy for general close-up edc purposes (small intense hotspot, large but dim spill), but putting on some clear contact paper to diffuse makes it good for me.

The medium mode is a great level for getting around a house in the dark, and the high is also a decent jump up from medium, very bright for the size of this little guy.

I had a lot more service issues with my Bimmers then my hondas, of course performance wise (excluding my S2000 sorry it simply kills) the BMW ruled:grin2:

I don't own the quark yet, but plan to cause I love small 123 single cells, but the A1 ain't bad for a pretty low price. I agree batman on build and thickness, but it's also 25 bucks. very bright, great throw (and spill) for a tiny 123 light.

BTW, clean the threads and then use silicone grease or nygel (sic) whatever goo iTP uses makes it fiddly. VG

I received my A1 today and am happy with it. The price is great for what you get. It is really bright, solid, and everything you would expect and more for $24. I did not realize it would have a different key ring set up, reminds me of the Martacs. I like the LMH cycle and the 3 lumen low looks very useful. The only thing I would change, and this applies to all my ITP lights is that I wish there was more Knurling. Wet hands, or gloves will be a problem in turning on the light and cycling between the options.

Man, a stainless version with knurling would be unbelievable for me.

Hi All,

Received 2 A1s' in the mail today. Have to say that I am very pleased with the lights. Both worked fine right out of the box and no nicks or scratches on bodies or lens. While one seems to be slightly whiter than the other, the beam pattern on both is excellent to me. I find the low to be a little too low for me, but the medium mode is good for general use, and the high is very bright. I was worried that it may be too much of a flooder for me after reading some of the reviews on here, but it is a perfect combination of throw and spill for my needs. GoingGear was very prompt in their correspondence and it got here to Louisiana from Georgia in 2 days. I would definately do business with them again. Just my opinions on my 2 new ITP EOS A1s'.
