Here's my latest creation. It started out it's life as a 4C M@G. Now it's a Seoul P4 USVOI driven by a Downboy 917 with either one or two 18650's. The beauty is either way you get the same brightness.

I made a light engine from scratch to house the DB917 and the LED.
There are 2 battery tube holders, one for each configuration.

Let me say I'm impressed with this light. It can throw!

On to the pics..

If I told you I'd have to kill you. :grin2:

Just kidding. It came out of another smaller 2 cell light. I'm trying to get ahold of more of the switches if anyone is interested in these?

ah ok. No worries then! Nice and clean light! We are going to get a lot of snow and ice tommorow, and I'm all stocked up and ready to start modding my 3C and other lights! :D

That is nice. Good idea about picking the longer host so you could have the room to make the cutdowns for both battery tubes. (At least i assume they both came off of the same host)

Is the battery tube just an empty tube or did you preform a little magic so that the cells. Despite being on top of each other, run in parallel? Because that would be awesome.

Hallis the DB917 is a buck converter so as long as the LED Vf is under 3.7v the light will run in regulation. If using the extension tube the cells will be in series.
