Jet C-LE with 1.7v lithium?

Since I got my Jet C-LE (non hidden mode version) I have been running the 1.7v Lithium. Everything I see says 1.5v. I like the Energizer 1.7v Lithium, due to being lighter, longer runtime and strong beam, as it lives in my wife's purse. I should be fine, right?

I have been running my C-LE with 3V cr123 primary battery (on p1 body) for over a month now, it is still fine. Therefore, I think 1.7v is more than just safe to use.

lightbug,m how do you like the improved brightness and different feel with the p1 body? I'm thinking of doing the same thing with a P1 body, but the normal AA body feels perfect in the hand and I love the knurling...

It feels just fine . Love the extra brightness!!!
