I am considering one of the above lights and would like your input. How the compare. How they are different. What you like or dislike.

I don't own both, so I can't give you a comparison, but I can give you links:

Jet-II IBS Review

RRT-0 Review

That should be enough to get you started. Note that Jetbeam will most likely be shipping an updated version of the RRT-0 sometime soon, so if you decide on that one, you might want to wait a bit.

I would also like to emphasize:

My experience might be of interest. I just bought a JetBeam Jet-1 Pro v3, and while I really like the light a lot, it has left me wanting more throw. I really prefer 14500 cells, but I otherwise would probably get a used or new-old-stock II PRO IBS, since it has the reflector advantage over the Jet-1 Pro (and probably over the RRT-0 as well).

Should be a pretty easy decision since JETBeam doesn't make the JB ll PRO IBS any more... :poke: :grin2:

hey, you're right, couldnt find it on bugoutgear or on Jetbeam's website. Am definitely going to reconsider selling my Jet II :D

To the OP: the Jet II is a great thrower and on max, running a RCR123, it's incredibly bright for such a small package. But i dont EDC it that often as i prefer the clip on my EX10 R2.

Guess you're going to have to go with the RRT-0

I was contemplaing a RRT-0 also until I read about some pre-flash issues... It's a sweet little light but I don't know if I can get over that preflash thing.:shakehead

The II Pro IBS is still available from several places, at least one of which has an "in stock" status.

Jeff

There are two models: Jet-II Pro and Jet-II I.B.S.

There is no such thing as a Jet-II Pro I.B.S. :) But yes the Jet-II Pro has IBS circuitry identical to that in the Jet-II I.B.S.

And yes, SOME of the Jet-II Pro's have IBS on the light, but the product is officially named w/o IBS in all JB literature.

I have both, and although the Pro is more pocket-able and has a clip, the IBS has a much better beam (the metal bezel doesn't produce the weird hexagonal shape) and the head can be focus. Focusing the head is a very nice feature when you swap in an XP-G LED :)

Hey Dobbler,

You may want to get in touch with JETBeam and correct them then, because they have the JETBeam JET-ll Pro I.B.S. listed on their site as a model they used to produce.

Here it is with pictures and all...

And Jeff....Non of the JET-ll's are being produced by JETBeam any longer...

Here is a list of their earlier models... that are not available any more.

Oops. Yeah. I meant the Jet-II Pro (with IBS) is still available (apparently). Good point about the hexagonal beam on the Pro. That's a bummer.
