It does appear that, in practical terms, the ring to fully "off" and the tail switch on is not an issue really. That's good news!

Very pleased with the 2020 version, I do like the original's smaller size, but nice to have both for different needs; especially the 2020's warmer emitter and 18650 option with the tubes. With my 3500mah I got 02:30 hours strait in full brightness mode. Not too shabby.

While you are all talking about the RRT01, can anyone tell me if there is a delay/lag in the light turning on when you press the switch? My 2012 RRT01 has quite a lag and it bugs me. It would be nice if this new version fixed that.

FWIW, I also calculate about 14 years theoretical standby time at 0.028mA with a 3500mAh battery...

My bad. I meant the RRT-0 Raptor. The question still stands - is there a lag on the new Raptor when you press the switch?

I have not heard of any Lag, but don't own a 2020 model
hopefully someone who owns one will answer

Hi. There is a very, very small lag.
Not really an issue for me but would maybe prevent someone strobing very fast by hand.
