I just got my p3d a few days ago and was amazed to see how bright this little torch is. I love the different modes, with the low mode its good enough for nearly everything and also lasts for 64 hours. But if you need the extra light the 3 extra modes are always there.
If your looking for a small durable and bright torch go the p3d!

I love my P3D. It is one of my many favourites at the moment. Enjoy your light and I am afraid it addictive and there is no cure.

+1 for the P3D. Never leaves my belt loop. L1D CE in my pocket, and an LOD CE on my key chain.

+1 to that, not to mention it works perfectly fine with 2x 3.7V 16340 cells too.

And if you want a smaller light you can use the P2D body and a rcr123 cell and still get about 1.5 hrs on high.

LA OZ is correct, good luck, fantastic lights, super addictive...

Novatac (pre) order will go through today, oh my... i seem to have misplaced my mind.

Not for me. The P3D's turbo mode has spoiled me. It's basically the only one I use (for outdoor light which is mainly what I use it for). After getting used to the turbo mode of the P3D, all my other lights now seem dim with the exception of the 135 lumens lights.

The P3D absolutely rocks, no doubt about it. If I had to make a choice to keep just one of my lights, the P3D would win hands down.

Although I am very satisfied with my P2D and P3D, I'm also very happy with the UltraFires I've gotten from DX. Sure I miss the various modes, but for twenty bucks and a battery charger, I'm not about to complain. The Cree technology has really been a winner and Fenix is about the best of the bunch, all things considered.

Hmm, well maybe someone shined a P3D right in abc's face there and he got a little confused...

+1. I look at beamshots comparisons and I see again how good the P3D is. (The last ones were in a review of the TK10. If it was any brighter than the P3D - and I couldn't see that it was - then it wasn't worth the extra size.)
I like the color of the Rebel version I got.
I've been using it on High level lately, so I don't get the strobe. I wish they'd make a new one iwthout the strobe and SOS.

Have you guys noticed a (big) difference in output over the P2D Q5? I've got the original and Q5 versions of the P2D and was wondering if I'd see a difference in brightness with the P3D.

That brings up an interesting point. If we could only ever have 1, which would it be?

As for the P3D Q5, I myself have the TK10. I'm completely happy with it, and it's a good partner to the P1D Q5, but if I had to do it all over again I might be more tempted by the slimmer lines of the P3D Q5.

After changing my mind on what seems like a hundred times over the last month, finally settled on the p3d. ordered it a few minutes ago. Reading your post has helped tremendously. I think I made a good choice. Thanks guys.

You won't be sorry. For the $ I think it's an awesome buy and a well built light. The UI and lumens programmed to it are very practical. The throw is incredible for a reflector of it's size and the spill offers very usable light. One should have no problem navigating in the dark with this light. I only wish the strobe was a little more "variable"? or annoying like on my Novatac 120P. Never the less, I carry it daily usually as it rests in my pocket with ease and without bulk.

Go to your local Kmart or Target store and look for a cheap Dorcy light or similar cheap light with a removable clip on it. I can't remember the name brand I bought, but the LED light was very cheap and the clip is all I was after. It's black and fits my P3D perfectly. Others in here have also done the same.

Enjoy your new purchase!

Do any parts from the P series swap onto the T1 or TK10 and vice versa? I'd love to use the T1 tailcap on an light with a little bit smaller diameter head when I don't need a ton of lumens.
