KX2 compatible with rechargeables?

I plan on getting a KX2 for my ancient E2E, but I'm curious if the new LED head will let me use a pair of rechargeable 123 cells. I'm aware of the advantages of the bigger cell types and the issues of the cells not fitting in some non-bored light bodies, but for now has anyone tried rechargeables with a KX2 head?

Hey Alex. I use a pair of AW protected rcr123a's in my KX2 with no problems. It also runs nice on one rcr123a on an e1e body.
