Just picked up one of these

in KMart Australia.

Thought it was a cool little keychain light and would be fun to play with. I mean... fun for my Daughter to play with

Now that's cool!

I'm sure your daughter will have fun with it! :grin2:

How do you turn it off and on?
Are there two LED lights (one in each "foot") or just one?
What batteries does it use? (most likely coin cell, but specifically which ones i.e. CR2016, CR2032, etc.)

The square with the Lego logo on the front is the button. The keychain models is momentary on only, and there's another model with a clip on the back that allows for constant on. There's an LED in each foot - appears to be a 3mm behind a lens and small reflector. It takes 2x CR2025 coin cells. They're bigger (about 2.75 inches tall) than a standard minifig, and there's a lantern model that's MUCH bigger.

Yup, gswitter got it right. The LED's are about 3mm each, little reflectors with no lens setup (think 2 small E01's) Total output is less than a Nichia GS based light and is nearly total flood from more than about 15cm from an object.

Best part is, the legs bend forward and backward, so you could have one pointed down, and one pointed forward for an elongated flood of light. Its good light for walking around the house, finding the keyhole in the car, or house door... but otherwise, its just an awesome form factor for a torch :)

Oh, and the one I got is actually Red with Blue sleeves

Actually, just thinking about it, stick two similar lights in the hands, and paint him red with a gold mask... Ironman lego guy

I picked up one of the headband version for my oldest son (he's 3) and he loves it. I'll have to keep my eyes out for the keychain version.

I bought the headlamp/clip model for my four year old daughter to use on Halloween last year. She loved it, but refused to wear it, preferring to carry her favorite light (blue MiniMag w/cyan TerraLUX drop-in & kroll switch) instead.

I was intrigued by the lantern model as well, and will probably pick one up eventually. Looks like they've added a pair of 7.5" tall models since then, one of them a hand crank. Someone at Lego's having fun.

between my addiction to legos and lights. i simply MUST have this lol
