Long lasting headlight

Good morning,

I recently got an 18650 zebra light. I like the high cri and weight.

But it cuts out of high mode after 10-15 minutes. I'm guessing it's a heat buildup issue and auto protection.

I need a head light that can run for hours on high. I've got plenty of batteries.

Is there such an LED headlight or do I need to go back to incandescent?

Thanks

Ummm...how high, exactly? 200 lumens? 1000 lumens?

The only headlamps I'm aware of that can run at a high output for an extended duration are either caving lights, or mushing lights. These are not cheap. (Check out the Scurion® 1500. It's a Swiss headlamp that can output 1300 lumens for an extended period, and run longer at what the Scurion folks refer to as a "reduced" level, which to them is either 700 or 900 lumens.)

Also, what is the ambient temperature range you anticipate operating in? A cold environment will have much better heat dissipation than a hot environment. You get the idea...
