Hi.
I bought this light for my dad for christmas, and the more I think about it, the more i kick myself for not buying one for myself. I paid a little over USD 30,-.
It is called Nu-FlaRE ALX-76R91L, and it's a single-mode, single 123A design featuring a 4x zooming optic. It is small enough for EDC (80x28mm, 61g), and it outputs around 160 lumens (manufacturers claim). Build quality seems ok, VERY similar to my Romisen RC-F4. (almost think they are from the same factory)
It contains a Luxeon Rebel 90 emitter.
What I like about this light is the small size (and weight), usability of the flood-zoom function (perfectly smooth flood, no artifackts or hotspots) and output. For close-up work it is brilliant. However the only store that stocked them is sold out, and is not planning to restock. Versions with 1x and 2x AA exist, so does 2x CR123.
Does anyone know of a similar light? I've had a look at the X2000 at DX, but it seems a little lo-qual..
